Due to the differences in the geographical location, climatic characteristics, history & culture, customs, and political & economic activities of North and South China, the natural and cultural landscapes in the north and the south of China are significantly different.
This project explores the cultural differences between North and South China from a contemporary standpoint, specifically in the categories of architecture and food. It seeks to not only educate people who are interested in Chinese culture but also to examine how the differences can potentially play a factor within people’s relationship and communication. It is an interactive way to dissect the complex Chinese culture.
